He came unto His own and His own received Him not "meaning the Jews" so then later the gentiles got grafted into the vine. Do you suppose if He would have come to the gentiles first He would have gotten any better reception? - from the way people (mostly gentiles) are trying to take Him out of everything like prayer and the ten commandments and changing Merry Christmas to Happy Holiday's and taking down crosses from public places... I sure doubt it. In fact if He came to the gentiles first .. well, I doubt seriously any of us would be here now to even read or write this. I am so thankful for Grace!! I am so thankful for Hope!! I am so thankful for Salvation! I am so thankful for Mercy!!

Holidays are holy days so when you say Happy Holiday's you still can't get rid of the HOLY ONE. I personally say Merry Christmas as I prefer doing everything in word and in deed in the NAME of the Lord. Jesus is the reason for the season!! Our Savior, Our Messiah. If ever the world needed Hope it is now. Spread the word... HOPE came down at the very first Christmas. you can keep your Santa and Scrooge and all of that, but I want His Presence this Christmas.

I have always prayed in school, I will always say one nation under God, I will honor God and Country as long as my country honors God. It is Jesus first, others second and myself last that brings JOY. So excited about Celebrating Jesus' birthday. Merry CHRISTmas. Busy praying for the peace of Jerusalem, and hope America will always be Israel's strongest supporter. In God I trust! ttt (the cross is my statue of liberty)..

just wondering if they are going to try to make it against the law for us to cross our fingers, cross our eyes, cross our t's, cross the street, get cross, sit cross legged, and for some of us wear cross our heart bra's?

if it were really all relative then why is it that my clothes have shrunk over the past few days when I really didn't eat all that much in comparison to what I could have eaten. ~ lp

Time is free, but it's priceless. You can't own it, but you can use it. You can't keep it, but you can spend it. Once you've lost it, you can never get it back.

Here are six truths about time:

First: Nobody can manage time. But you can manage those things that take up your time.

Second: Time is expensive. As a matter of fact, 80 percent of our day is spent on those things or those people that only bring us two percent of our results.

Third: Time is perishable. It cannot be saved for later use.

Fourth: Time is measurable. Everybody has the same amount of time...pauper or king. It is not how much time you have; it is how much you use.

Fifth: Time is irreplaceable. We never make back time once it is gone.

Sixth: Time is a priority. You have enough time for anything in the world, so long as it ranks high enough among your priorities.

Praying for all those who have lost family members and loved ones this year. I know thanksgiving will be a much harder time without the smiling faces of all their hearts companions.

fascinated to learn that the jewish calendar had a year of 360 days.. so cool to know that God gives us 360 days to have a full degree of arc. each year of new beginning truly is a new beginning. gonna research this more.

The 360 days bible prophecy calendar gives meaning to the Jewish calendar by how... it is adjusted to the true solar year. Even the Islamic calendar, Egyptian and Julian calendars, Hindu, Mayan, and Chinese calendars all take on new meaning!

Lisa Anne Kelley Peter I don't know why this is so amazing to me... I mean as I am doing my daily routines and thinking on this, it really is just common sense. a full turn of the sun would be one year or a 360 degree turn. but I guess because we say a year is 365 days I just had never thought about it before.

read a chapter of front porch stories... today he talked about stuff.. how we accumulate things. How we get stuff to make us happy and it does for awhile but then we want more stuff. After time we have too much stuff and the only way out is to die. - pretty sobering, as I watched this very thing happen way too often. let's lay up treasures in heaven that is the right way.

My prayer this morning..

Lord, I am focusing on You. On Your power, Your wisdom and Your ways. I would pray that You have mercy upon America but then I think about Moses and how he prayed for the Israelists. You heeded Moses' prayer and yet the Israelists did not learn their lesson and still didn't get to see the promised land. Above all else Lord, we have got to see the Promised land. above all else, we must be saved. If this is the end that we have known is coming, then Lord so be it. after all the best is yet to come.

NEED

No gift can compare with Your anointing,
no talent can move us like You
let Your spirit flow
until we know
that we have have been renewed

oh how we need You we long for the old paths
our soul longs for You O Lord
we are yearning we are searching
our heart cries out with fervency,
oh how we need You more.

I need You, we need You, I need You, Need You

everything He has given us, let us use it for His glory! - our gift of singing, our gift of writing, our gift of compassion, our gift of working, our gift of personality, our gift of creativity, our gift of encouraging! To God be all the Glory!

I think we often make the mistake of being so concerned about what is happening in our circumstances when our priority should be what is happening in our hearts. God is really more interested in changing us than He is changing our circumstances. We must let Him have His way in our lives, and not be so concerned about what you think others will think of you, and experience His best that is for you.
